Facility Maintenance Technician- 1st Shift

The Facility Maintenance Technician assists in the completion of the day-to-day activities involving the maintenance of the building/facility, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, building lighting systems, grounds keeping, and overall facility appearance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure care and proper use of company assets, including vehicles, tools and equipment.
  • Performs general repairs and maintenance for all areas within the operation including but not limited to: electrical, mechanical, and structural aspects of the buildings and grounds.
  • Maintains cleanliness and appearance of exterior of the facility including but not limited to: emptying trash cans and ashtrays, blowing walkways, picking up litter,
  • Maintains cleanliness and appearance of interior areas of the facility including but not limited to: emptying trash cans and ashtrays, sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting.
  • Identifies and reports needed supplies to Manager or Maintenance Coordinator.
  • This position will also need to perform other duties as deemed by management.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Preferred 2-3 years' experience in facilities maintenance.

Ability to follow directions and get along well with others.

Outstanding punctuality and attendance required.

Ability to read and understand a tape measure.

Must be able to provide personal hand tools

Must have ability to read, write and interpret technical documents and instructions.

Basic math skills are required.

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. In addition, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Must be available for overtime and work weekends when necessary.
