Job Goal:
A Press Operator requires skills such as reading schematics, basic manufacturing math, quality control and technical/ mechanical skills. This position performs typical press operations to support the production floor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete setup and breakdown of molds with little to no supervision.
- Run the press with little to no supervision.
- Trim parts in accordance with technical drawings.
- Read job travelers and interpret technical drawings to determine press setup.
- Complete production records using a computer format to maintain cost, efficiencies, inventory and integrity.
- Ensure proper cleanliness of press, workstation, and immediate press area by following good housekeeping practices.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Press operators must be available for overtime and work weekends when necessary.
