What is a Production Planner?

The Production Planner is to control and organize all paperwork on the floor, enter any work orders that are needed by Production, communicate lead-times for Order Entry, and determine flow through work centers throughout the manufacturing process.

What will I be doing?

• Creating and Sharing production schedules to Molding department.
• Reviewing documents, such as production drawings and material requirements to determine routes of work orders.
• Arranging for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.
• Analyzing sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements.
• Following up on tasks and action items from morning meeting.
• Taking full ownership of Work Orders on floor; cancellations, jobs on hold, reprinting, damage to paperwork.
• Entering Project Orders after Engineering Hand Off.
• Generating and distributing job travelers.

What hours will I be working? Is this full-time?

M-F 8am to 4:30 pm (Some night and weekend work might be necessary)
